I have belonged to a union for over 35 years. The Teamsters called for the support of Obama for president. They said that he would be good for labor and that we would benefit with him in control, along with a democrat controlled congress and senate.
Good for labor? Lets look at just a few things going on.
1. Hundreds of billions of dollars thrown at Wall Street and the banking industry. Remember all the performance bonuses some of these CEO's and directors got? I wonder how many union members these industries employ. Maybe some of the janitors and also if they need an electrician or a plumber. Outside of that I think not very many union men and women work for the financial section of America.
Now comes the auto industry. The UAW employs hundreds of thousands of workers. Workers that produce hard manufactured goods sold in this country and around the world. It's not just GM and Chrysler, there are more jobs connected to this industry than I can think of and list.
President Obama is willing to let GM and Chrysler go bankrupt so that they can cancel all of the UAW contracts between the auto makers and the workers.
Way to go Teamsters! Lets support a man for president that is going to ruin hundreds of thousands of workers and their families. It does not stop there. As soon as other industries that feel they can increase the CEO and Board of Directors personal bank accounts, they will do the same thing. File bankruptcy to void labor contracts, pay their employees less and give them less benefits just to increase their pay.
Hundreds of billions of dollars were paid out in bonuses for companies that were losing hundreds of billions of dollars??? I don't get it. Lets reward these failing companies and in the same breath tell our hard working men and women in the auto industry to go suck it up and work for 20 30 or 40 percent of what you used to make.
It is time to save our true work force!

Is the 'Change' coming?
This article was sent to me in an email. I am posting it here because I feel this Timothy Wood has made some very valid points.
Read it and see if you agree.
SOMETHING OF HISTORIC PROPORTIONS IS HAPPENING By: Timothy Wood
I am a student of history. Professionally, I have written 15 books in six languages, and have studied it all my life. I think there is something monumentally large afoot, and I do not believe it is just a banking crisis, or a mortgage crisis, or a credit crisis. Yes these exist, but they are merely single facets on a very large gemstone that is only now coming into sharper focus.
Something of historic proportions is happening. I can sense it because I know how it feels, smells, what it looks like, and how people react to it. Yes, a perfect storm may be brewing, but there is something happening within our country that has been evolving for about ten - fifteen years. The pace has dramatically quickened in the past two.
We demand and then codify into law the requirement that our banks make massive loans to people we know they can never pay back. Why?
We learn that the Federal Reserve, which has little or no real oversight by anyone, has 'loaned' two trillion dollars (that is $2,000,000,000,000) over the past few months, but will not tell us to whom, or why, or disclose the terms. That is our money. Yours and mine.
And that is three times the $700B we all argued about so strenuously just this past September. Who has this money? Why do they have it? Why are the terms unavailable to us? Who asked for it? Who authorized I thought this was a government of 'we the people', who loaned our powers to our elected leaders. Apparently not.
We have spent two or more decades intentionally de-industrializing our economy.. Why? We have intentionally dumbed down our schools, ignored our history, and we no longer teach our founding documents, showing why we are exceptional and why we are worth preserving. Students by and large cannot write, think critically, read, or articulate. Parents are not revolting, teachers are not picketing, and school boards continue to back mediocrity. Why?
We have now established the precedent of protesting every close election (now violently in California over a proposition that is so 'controversial' that it wants marriage to remain between one man and one woman!). Did you ever think such a thing possible just a decade ago? We have corrupted our sacred political process by allowing unelected judges to write laws that radically change our way of life, and then allow mainstream Marxist groups like ACORN and others to turn our voting system into a banana republic. To what purpose?
Now our mortgage industry is collapsing, housing prices are in free fall, major industries are failing, our banking system is on the verge of collapse, Social Security is nearly bankrupt, as is Medicare and our entire government, and our education system is worse than a joke.
(I teach college and know precisely what I am talking about.)
The list is staggering in its length, breadth, and depth. It is potentially 1929 x ten. [yet by all media accounts, we are not in a depression] And we are at war with an enemy we cannot name for fear of offending people of the same religion, an enemy who cannot wait to slit the throats of you and your children if they have the opportunity to do so.
Now we have elected President a man no one knows anything about, who has never run so much as a Dairy Queen, let alone a town as big as Wasilla, Alaska . Many of his associations and alliances are with real radicals in their chosen fields of employment, and everything we learn about him, drip by drip, is unsettling, if not downright scary. Surely you have heard him speak about his idea to create and fund a 'mandatory civilian defense force' stronger than our military for use inside our borders. No? Oh, of course. The media would never play that for you over and over, and then demand he explain it. Sarah Palin's pregnant daughter and $150,000 wardrobe is more important to the media.
Mr. Obama's winning platform can be boiled down to one word: change. Why?
I have never been so afraid for my country and for my children as I am now! This man campaigned on bringing people together, something he has never, ever done in his professional life. In my assessment, Obama will divide us along philosophical lines, push us apart, and then try to realign the pieces into a new and different power structure. Change is indeed coming. And when it comes, you will never see the same nation again.
And that is only the beginning. I thought I would never be able to experience what the ordinary, moral German felt in the mid-1930s. In those times, the savior was a former smooth-talking rabble-rouser from the streets, about whom the average German knew next to nothing. What they did know was that he was associated with groups that shouted, shoved, and pushed around people with whom they disagreed. He edged his way onto the political stage through great oratory and promises.
Economic times were tough, people were losing jobs, and he was a great speaker. And he smiled and waved a lot. And people, even newspapers, were afraid to speak out for fear that his 'brown shirts' would bully them into submission. And then, he was duly elected to office as full-throttled economic crisis was at hand [the Great Depression]. Slowly but surely he seized the controls of government power, department-by-department, person-by-person, bureaucracy-by-bureaucracy. The kids joined a Youth Movement in his name, where they were taught what to think. How did he get the people on his side? He did it promising jobs to the jobless, money to the moneyless, and goodies for the military-industrial complex. He did it by indoctrinating the children, advocating gun control, health care for all, better wages, better jobs, and promising to re-instill pride once again in their country, across Europe , and around the world.
He did it with a compliant media. Did you know that? And he did this all in the name of justice and change. And the people surely got what they voted for. (Look it up if you think I am exaggerating.)
Read your history books. Many people objected in 1933 and were shouted down, called names, laughed at, and made fun of. When Winston Churchill pointed out the obvious in the late 1930s while seated in the House of Lords in England (he was not yet Prime Minister), he was booed into his seat and called a crazy troublemaker. He was right, though.
[Since Obama's rise to power, the behavior exhibited by the majority of his supporters is rife with overtones prejudice and violence. Their weapons? Social alienation and excommunication. They will attack with malice the character and reputation of anyone who dares to think different much less verbalize disagreement. Such alienation knows no boundaries, dividing and destroying families, friends and associates. This ideology of hate is explosively dividing out nation and the world. Change? You bet! Our nation is going to see change unlike none other in history. How will historians view the inevitable fallout? Will they look back on the German theatre as a mere laboratory experiment as compared to what is ominously looming on the American horizon? Unless we act quickly, this destructive behavior will lead us to a point of no return; on an irreversible course of destruction.]
Don't forget that Germany was the most educated, cultured country in Europe . It was full of music, art, museums, hospitals, laboratories, and universities. And in less than six years --- a shorter time span than just two terms of the U. S. presidency --- it was rounding up its own citizens, killing others, abrogating its laws, turning children against parents, and neighbors against neighbors. All with the best of intentions, of course. The road to hell is paved with them.
As a practical thinker, one not overly prone to emotional decisions, I have a choice: I can either believe what the objective pieces of evidence tell me (even if they make me cringe with disgust); I can believe what history is shouting to me from across the chasm of seven decades; or I can hope I am wrong by closing my eyes, having another latte, and ignoring what is transpiring around me.
Some people scoff at me, others laugh, or think I am foolish, naive, or both. Perhaps I am. But I have never been afraid to look people in the eye and tell them exactly what I believe, and why I believe it.
I pray I am wrong. I do not think I am.

What is REALLY going on here?
Our banks are failing...at a rapid pace. According to those that keep records and supposedly keep us up to date, 17 banks have failed this year.More. Why? The money they said they needed was handed out in big buckets of cash last year. Here is a list some of those banks here. Where did that money go? If you had a bank, and they kept saying on the TV that there was more on the way, why hand it out? Lets wait and get more! The rich will be the first to tell you that they never have enough. Then there's the fact that all of the banks do the same thing to build their assets. (money you save as bonds, CD's, savings accounts, etc.) They invest them. Where? The market. Hows the market doing? Unless you live under a rock, you know full well how our market is doing. It's a flaming plane in a vertical nose dive. So there's your answer. They all hemorrhaged billions in combined assets and are afraid to give out what the government gave them or invest it in a shaky market.
Last year in March, news got out (to people that were listening for it) of a collapse of the US economy in Sept. It didn't happen. Or did it? If you are interested in how very close we came, take a look at this video.YouTube 550 Billion Dollar Run. At about the 2:10 mark of this video is where he talks about the near collapse of the U.S. and global economies. Why is that information relevant? It proves two things. That there is in fact someone behind the scenes controlling our lives, (how did we know about the crash 7 months ahead of time?) and we are not getting the full picture of what we are truly facing.
When the Dot Com collapse came, we began the bailouts. Then the 911 disaster. More bailouts. Then last September hit because of the housing mess. More bailouts. We now (all of us) sit upon a gigantic bubble with no support. To fix the problem, our genius leaders are handing out monopoly money as fast as they can print it. China was the recipient of our new secretary of state (Hillary Clinton) begging on her knees on our behalf for more China bucks.
The unions are already dictating to the banks that took TARP funds that they may not protest the formation of new unions in Any way. As this crisis deepens, more churches and local charities are pushed past their capacity to help. More and more tent cities and parking lot camper villages appear every week. California wants to legalize pot to try to hold on to the edge a little longer before they drop off the face of the earth. New Hampshire wants to vote to succeed from the union. So far, 25 other states have claimed sovereignty because they see what's coming and how far our Feds have overstepped their constitutional authority.
In Nazi Germany they controlled the banks before they took complete power. Same for the Bolsheviks and the communists in China, Cuba, etc.
If you think of this mess from a secular angel, good luck to you and yours. If you look at this from a prophetic view, then you can see what's really going on here.
Remember Revelations 13:17
And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.
God Bless You All.

The Ten Commandments Of Liberals

The Ten Commandments of Liberals.
This started as a humor idea but the more research I did on it the more I found out about how the liberal democrats would like to see America. Lets breakdown these 10 commandments that we came up with.
1. Thou shall have no god but thyself and big government.
It seems like instead of growing our economy, President Obama and all or most of anyway, liberals in Congress and Senate are working to grow the government. Increasing the size and what government does is not the answer. Obama's Audacious Budget
Despite Obama's ambition, not everyone is happy. From Ohio's John Boehner, the top Republican in the House: "The era of big government is back, and Democrats want you to pay for it."
2. Thou shall depend on big government for all thy needs.
Rings of socialism. First, let big government take over the largest banks. What is next? Medicine. Look at other countries that have tried this, it is not working! Massachusetts, what a mess!
Imagine, if a small state says it is too much to handle, how are the liberals going to institute it for hundreds of millions of Americans?
When you force the medical profession to work for lower set amounts the quality of health care will certainly decline. Sorry for hawking products here but we have a bumper sticker that states, "If you think health care is expensive now, wait until it's free!See it here. What will happen to research and development when the drug companies are forced to lower profits. The quality of our health care will decline further, into a tailspin and then it will crash and burn and will take a miracle to resurrect.
3. Thou shalt accept gay rights and all they stand for. I know I am going to take a beating on this subject but here it goes. A persons sexual orientation is their business and I wish they would keep it that way. Why do they feel that they need to impress upon the rest of the population that their way is acceptable? Look at some of the TV shows impressing upon us that it is normal, acceptable and it's ok if you want to flaunt it. The Liberals have courted the gay vote so all I can say is that they must think it is perfectly normal, I disagree. See more Here
4. Thou shalt give to criminals and thieves and punish those that abide by the laws.
Ever notice how many rights are given to criminals? Liberals have taken a soft stand on crime. Mercy and compassion seem to be the buzz words of the liberals. Most liberals oppose the death penalty, you know them, the bleeding hearts.Liberals and Crime If you kill someone why should you be spared? Given 3 squares a day and given an education at taxpayers expense? Why does someone that is convicted with indisputable evidence spend 20 or more years on death row? Why so many appeals processes? I fear it will only get worse over the next 4 years unless the balance of power in the house and the senate changes in 2010.
5.Thou shalt persecute Christians. Look at how we handle religion and God in our schools. It is not ok to discuss the bible or the history of it. Don't you dare mention Jesus. The Koran? No problem, Satan talk your students ears off if you like as long as you don't mention the other. What has happened? Guess who moved into our public schools when God was banned. Persecution of Christians in AmericaThis link gives some details of how it started and where it's headed.
6.Thou shalt make peace and placate those who would wish to see us dead, except Christians. See number 5. Also, does President Obama really think that diplomacy will work with Iran, North Korea or the radicals in the middle east that want us dead? I personally don't think anything short of an all out assault on Iran would stop them from launching a nuclear attack on the United States and/or Israel. The moment they have the big bomb and the means to deliver it the world will change. More information here.
7.Thou shalt have abortion clinics in every school yard. Abortion is wrong I don't care what the liberals tell you. How can you agree that killing an unborn baby is ok if it fits the need of the woman? It is used as a form of birth control and again, I am against it. I feel another beating coming on here but that is where I stand. Liberals, abortion, and the least among us. The pro-abortion people say that is is a woman's right, what if the fetus is female? The sex is determined at conception so what about this little woman? Does she have no rights? I can go on and on but if you want more info read the article in the above link.
8. Thou shalt believe all the crap that the liberal media speweth.... The 25 Most Influential Liberals In The U.S. Media I prefer Fox News, go ahead bring it on I have my guard up. Most have their preference and this one is mine. Fair and Balanced? Your decision to make.
9.Thou shalt take from the rich and give to those who won't work... I am not talking about those in need and have disabilities and cannot work. I am talking about the lazy liberals that want to sit on their backsides and let big government send them a check, pay their rent, and give them food stamps. There are a lot of worthwhile programs out there for those who truly need them. If all of the slackers were off the welfare program maybe Obama would be a little closer to balancing the budget.
10. Thou shalt cram these commandments down everyone's throat. With a Liberal Congress, Senate and Whitehouse we are close to doomsday. The media darling, Obama will get his way and the media will be right there lapping up every word. Reporting how great things will be. It's only been 6 weeks and I am already tired of it. Hurry up 2010 and 2012 and maybe America will wake up and smell the coffee.
Next: Wall Street and the Banking Industry.
